Overview
Mirantes for Creators lets creators launch courses, digital products, communities, livestreams and memberships, connected to the Mirantes.io network and marketplace.
It is the creator-economy layer of Mirantes Technologies, an HR and careers SaaS with web and mobile apps.
Problem
Mirantes had a large professional audience but no way for creators to publish and monetise content inside the platform. The new product had to plug into existing accounts and the marketplace while introducing new domains: content catalogues, digital products, live experiences and podcasts.
Role
I conceived the product and led significant parts of its architecture and end-to-end implementation across frontend and backend.
I designed and built the live-experience capabilities (live sessions and their management tooling) and the podcast functionality, integrating third-party live-streaming and live-management platforms.
I own the creator-side product infrastructure: creator accounts, the content catalogue and the data model that connects creators, products and the Mirantes.io marketplace.
Architecture
- Next.js and TypeScript on the web, Node.js services and a GraphQL API over PostgreSQL, within the existing Mirantes platform.
- A creator/product/content data model that links creator accounts to catalogue items (courses, digital products, communities, live events, podcasts) and to marketplace listings.
- Live experiences delegated to external live-streaming/management platforms and integrated at the application layer.
Technical decisions
- Extend the existing platform rather than fork it
- Creators reuse Mirantes accounts and the marketplace; the creator domain was added as new modules and data relationships instead of a separate system.
- Integrate live infrastructure, build the management layer
- Live sessions run on third-party streaming platforms; the product owns scheduling, access, the creator's management tooling and the relationship to products and communities.
- Catalogue as the central entity
- Courses, digital products, communities, live events and podcasts are all catalogue items with shared publishing, pricing and marketplace behaviour, which kept the model coherent as product types were added.

Engineering challenges
- Designing a data model flexible enough for very different product types while keeping marketplace and account logic shared.
- Integrating live-streaming and live-management providers without exposing their complexity to creators.
- Coordinating technical work across the platform's web and mobile codebases while the product was being defined.
Outcome
Launched publicly at mirantesforcreators.com as the creator platform of Mirantes Technologies.
What I learned
- Product conception and architecture are the same job when the data model decides what the product can become.
- Owning the management layer around an integrated provider is where most of the product value sits.
